Focus mode gives you more room to work with what Lace generates. When you open an artifact, a screen capture, or a set of insight signals, focus mode expands the window and shows the content in a dedicated canvas alongside your chat.Documentation Index

When it’s helpful
- Reviewing an artifact — A generated summary, analysis, or preview gets its own panel so you can read it without scrolling through the chat.
- Examining screen context — View a captured screen at full resolution with detected elements highlighted.
- Reading insight signals — When Lace synthesizes signals from your documents, screen, or data — focus mode lays them out clearly.
How it works
Focus mode activates automatically when you open content that benefits from more space. The window expands, and a canvas appears next to the chat sidebar.| Element | Behavior |
|---|---|
| Chat sidebar | Stays fixed at its normal width |
| Focus canvas | Takes the remaining space, positioned left or right of the sidebar |
| Window | Animates to accommodate both panels |
