Lace lets you reason about your product in real time through chat. When a decision needs to be made, the Decision Canvas captures a snapshot of what’s on screen so you can annotate it, discuss it, and act on it.

Starting a review

Tap Review on the floating pill. Lace captures a screenshot of your active window and opens it in the Decision Canvas alongside your chat. Every capture persists as an artifact, accessible from the Lace home screen and from the chat where it was created. Bounding boxes from Lace’s screen context parsing are rendered as an overlay on top of the image. Hover over any part of the UI to highlight the bounding box for that element, then click to select it.

Annotating

From a selected element, you can:
  • Comment with a question, observation, or recommendation
  • Log a decision about what should change and why
  • Resolve a decision once it has been addressed

Flows

From the Decision Canvas, add more screenshots to build a multi-step flow. The flow appears as a carousel you can click through, with annotations and decisions visible at each step. Each flow is auto-titled and editable. You can return to any flow to review past decisions, add new annotations, or update a screenshot when the product changes.

Decisions and MCP

When you log a decision on a bounding box, that decision is tied to the specific UI element it references, including the screenshot, spatial context, and any comments. Approved decisions are exposed through MCP so your coding agent can query them, see exactly what needs to change, and ship the fix.
