# Focus mode

> Use Lace's focus mode to open a side-by-side panel for reviews, artifacts, file previews, and evidence alongside the chat sidebar.

Focus mode expands the window to show content in a dedicated panel alongside your chat. It activates automatically when you open a review, artifact, file attachment, or evidence citation.

## Layout

Press the green button in the window traffic controls to enter focus mode. The panel appears on the right side.

## Supported content

## Focus tabs

When you open more than one piece of content, focus mode shows a tab bar. Each tab holds a different surface — a review, an artifact, a file preview, or an evidence detail. The review tab is pinned and cannot be closed; other tabs can be closed individually. The tab bar hides automatically when only one tab is open.

Clicking an attachment chip on a comment or a file card in chat opens the content in its own focus tab.

Close the panel or switch chats to exit.
